A truly special retreat where the jungle meets the shore in a small village on the coast of Mexico. In this extraordinary setting we dedicate ourselves to radical self care because it is a revolutionary act to slow down, honor your life, give space to the breath and the body, and celebrate Nature .
A special retreat integrating many modalities.
We will stretch and move, practice forms of Qi Gong, write, chant, engage in compassionate activism with the community by visiting the Yelapa Animal Project. We will share meals in a gorgeous setting under a canopy of the jungle with bougainvalia, and avocado trees, coconut palm and bamboo.
The Place:
There are hikes to waterfalls, a beach to lounge, the ocean to swim in, a pueblo to stroll through with small cafes and shops. Yelapa has a lot of charisma and character and much to explore, but truly, you might feel fulfilled relaxing at the retreat center which has lovely spaces to simply be.
Lodging::
Our accommodations are beautiful open air palapas set in among bougainvillia, coconut, avocado, and palm trees in a small canyon that leads to a waterfall. Each day we will be provided inspiring homemade family-style vegetarian meals with fresh juices daily (vegan and other dietary restrictions can be accommodated).
The Practice:
You will be guided through daily practices on an open air deck with flocks of birds flying overhead. Each day you will have free time to explore Yelapa’s quaint town, beaches, hikes, and waterfalls. Yelapa is located south of Puerto Vallarta and is only accessible by water taxi. This makes it a very unique experience.
Community:
You will have the opportunity to visit The Yelapa Animal Project. and learn about the compassionate work they do helping animals, domestic and wild, that may be sick, unwanted, homeless, neglected or abused. They are always open to housing dedicated volunteers and donations are always deeply appreciated.
Cost:
$1600 includes accommodations, meals, and practices. (Travel costs including the water taxis are separate). All your needs are taken care of once you arrive in Yelapa, but you may want to bring spending money for the town, snacks on the beach (although we are always fed well by the Los Naranjos staff!), donations, and tips.
How to get there:
Due to flight schedules into Puerto Vallarta (PV), you may want to book prior to Saturday, the 22nd. In the past, participants have opted to spend Friday night in PV to explore and enjoy. On Saturday February 22nd, participants meet at Los Muertos Pier to take the 11am water taxi (380 pesos round trip or about $20 USD) to Yelapa. You may choose to come to Yelapa on a different boat or even an earlier day, but we will be there to welcome you when you get off the boat on Saturday. On Saturday, March 1st, we will accompany you to the Yelapa dock to catch the late morning water taxi back to PV. If you choose to leave on the 1st, book your flight for a late afternoon or early evening departure so you don’t have to feel rushed.

What to bring:
We recommend packing lightly. Yoga mat and props are provided at the retreat.

Hat, sunscreen, & insect repellent (no deet)

Flashlight/headlamp
Clothing for warm days/ maybe cool nights
Water bottle
Earplugs for sleeping. (The jungle is active and Yelapa is always celebrating something)
Extra cash for tipping all the wonderful folks taking care of us. (Yelapa has no atm, so it is best to exchange all monies in PV)

Refund/Cancellation Policy:
No one books a retreat with the intention of canceling it, but unexpected events do occur. Our cancellation policy is in place to help us all in making it possible to make dreams come true and be held when the unexpected arises and adjustments need to be made.
In case you need to cancel:
HOLD DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Hold deposits (minus $100 USD re-listing fee) are transferable to another attendee found and assigned by the original attendee.
Full balance due 2 weeks before the start date of retreat unless otherwise noted.
Cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded.
Within 14 days of your retreat: sorry but no refunds given, no exceptions.
Any refunds allowed will incur a 4% processing fee.
In case we need to cancel:
In case we must cancel the retreat due to Covid or low participant interest, all money paid minus 4% processing fee will be refunded. Notification of cancellation for this reason will occur at least 2 weeks prior to retreat start date. We cannot be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or retreat cancellations.
