A very short story
My shoes crunched on the thick blanket of crumpled paper like leaves, then slipped occasionally due to the saturated earth underneath. I thought of earthworms and centipedes hidden below.

Meet the Menagerie
We are committed to honoring the natural cycle of their lives with the intention of interfering as little as possible, yet providing them with everything they need. This sanctuary prioritizes the comfort of the animals and is also educational for the people. The volunteers who come get the chance to be compassion activists. Educational programs are focused on teaching compassion and respect for all sentient beings.
Sanctuary: Over the Threshold, Into Awakening
Domesticated animals are in relationship with us due to us making that so. It is our duty to take care of them. I believe that a symbiotic, mutually beneficial relationship can be found between humans and animals.
The Cob Hut: YARA’s meeting space
A space to come together as one, a space for meditating, for educating, for saving seeds, for moving our bodies, and chanting. To gather inside this earthen structure that we have coined, The Nest.
